Movement of God in Slovenia TONIGHT

While Dave and I are in our last day in Austria, truly THE MOST EXCITING thing is happening for our JV team in Slovenia...something they and we have prayed for these past ten years.

A MOVEMENT OF GOD!!

An unprecedented event has taken place this week in Slovenia. Literally, thousands of non-believers have gathered in six different locations across the country, Monday through Saturday, to hear the testimony of one man, Nick Vujicic.

Maybe you have heard of him...he was born without legs or arms, and has an amazing testimony to the glory of God. Read his testimony here...you will be utterly inspired!

With a population of just over 2 million, it is estimated that there are just 1500 believers in the whole country. It has been a very dark, hard place to bring the Gospel.

But this week, God has led over 10,000 people to hear Nick's testimony. Dear friends...this is really a miracle. I can't even begin to describe to you how much this is a work of God.

Tonight is the final night of Nick's speaking. He will be in one of the largest stadiums in the country - in fact, the owners CANCELLED the European handball tournament in order for this event to take place.

As you are reading this, would you stop and pray that the Spirit would rest on Nick as he speaks tonight, and that God would deeply penetrate the hearts of thousands who will be in this stadium to hear him? May the presentation of the Gospel tonight have deep, lasting impact on a fractured nation that desperately needs the love and salvation of Christ.

For updates on what has already happened, these are daily updates from Josh, Dave's brother who is the country leader for JV in Slovenia. You will be so encouraged to read these!

  1. This is AWESOME! We had NIck speak at our church for Easter about 5 years ago or so. We all fell in love with him! I still tell the story about meeting him for the first time at a local restaurant and he looked up at me and said, "get over here and give me a hug!" I think he must have thought that we didn't both need arms in order to hug each other! I literally tell the story all the time in relation to our identity being who we would be if we didn't have arms or legs! I am so excited that you all get to hear him and see God work through his message!!!

  2. Connie,

I first heard about Nick on your blog and have since seen a couple videos about him. I saw this one today and wanted to be sure you'd seen it:
