Two weeks ago, Dave spoke at a university outreach meeting in Ostrava, the bigger city near us. He came home so excited about the evening! When he'd finished speaking on Jesus in the 21st century, his relevance in our world today, one young man had a lot of questions. Dave spent an hour answering those and then shared the Gospel with him.
Last night Dave got this wonderful email from the leader of the group (I took out the names of the students and instead used their initials for privacy).
Dear Dave,
After your lecture, we know about three people who came to Christ - V. (the same week) - he was sitting next to L. H - he came to the meeting with his friend M (they live in a same village). And also L - Leos meet with him this Saturday...Praise the Lord! Martin
Three young men put their faith in Christ after that meeting!
Just the day before he had received this message on FB from L, the one that he'd talked to that night:
I don't know if you still remember me (I certainly do remember you) but I've been present at your talk - Jesus in the 21.century, - you know, that one with a lot of questions. I just want to let you know that I have already discussed and spent some time over the bible with Leoš and I have confessed Jesus and his sacrifice aloud and with my own words. (just today). maybe I've spared you some time... so I just wanted to let you know, that I haven't forget about you and your contribution :-) thanks and good luck with your work. L
When it all comes down to it, this is why we're here.
