The day didn't start out so well. I can't remember when I have ever been sicker than I was on the flight from Frankfurt to Atlanta. High fever, nausea, severe stomach cramps, chills, headache...misery.
But I had called out for prayer on FB just before we left Prague, and of course Dave, Claire and I were praying too (though my prayers were more the groaning sort...), and I know God heard those prayers. Somewhere over the Atlantic, about five hours into the flight, the symptoms of whatever I have been dealing with for the past week, began to recede.
By the time we made it here to Chattanooga this evening, I was feeling almost back to my normal self...with no explanation other than the Lord hearing those prayers and answering them.
Oh how I pray now that the Lord will be merciful and gracious this week to fully heal and restore my body. Little would stop me from soaking in these special days before the wedding, but I would sure enjoy it more if my body was well!
