One of my desires this year is to be more purposeful in tucking God's Word away in my heart.
I've tried all sorts of different methods and systems for memorizing Scripture through the years. While some methods have been more successful than others, the point is, I want more of it deep inside me!
This year, Bible teacher, Beth Moore, has invited women to be a part of her Siesta Scripture Memory Team (see here for more info...and be sure to look on the right side of her blog and click on "siesta" to see what she means!).
You get to choose your own verses to memorize, and can post them to her blog on the 1st and 15th of each month this year. That means I'll learn at least 24 verses this year! I've already learned Hebrews 10:29 and Mark 9:27.
Yesterday I chose my third set of verses which are Isaiah 64:4-5.
It feels so doable this way!
You can still sign up to get started if you want. Again, here's her BLOG where you can get more info, and join thousands of other women who are hiding God's word in their heart this year.

Connie,
ReplyDeleteI heard about this challenge on Twitter recently, but am just now joining up after reading about it on your blog. Thanks for the inspiration!
