News reports say this winter in Czech has been the gloomiest in 40 years.
That's why it's noteworthy that the sun started shining yesterday, and is still shining today. Miracle of miracles!
I pulled out the swing and actually sat on our patio to soak in the sun while I drank my morning coffee. Yes, there is still snow on the edges of the yard, and no, it's not very warm. But it's sunny!
Claire took Kaylee on a walk and she was completely giddy to be outside in the sunshine (ha...when I re-read that sentence it made me ask myself, "Am I talking about Claire or Kaylee?!).
In truth...her giddiness may have had more to do with the fact that I found the remains of the wrapper from a chocolate bar later on. That girl (the furry one) has a THING for chocolate...and no I never give it to her on purpose, and no she doesn't have any side effects except for a bit of hyperactivity soon afterward.
Honestly, no matter how hard I try to keep it out of reach, she always finds it...thus she still retains the title of "The Naughty Princess".
The crocuses are just about to show their pretty heads, despite the patches of snow still lingering in their space. If the sun sticks around, they should be blooming any day now.
I'd like to think that we're going to skip over anymore snow and head right into Spring, though I suppose that's wishful thinking. But a girl can hope, can't she?
Days of blue sky and full sunshine are rare around here, so I'll take it and soak it in while it's here.

I think your dog is worthy of a trip to the Westminster KC Dog Show. Looks like she would win the "spunky" category! Certainly would win the cutest category. Maybe the mischievous dog of the year too?
ReplyDeleteWhile I really do love keeping up on the Patty's doings I must confess I love following the antics of Miss Kaylee Patty. She is so adorable. I love pictures of her running with her ears flying. Now it's time to go roust my doggy girl of the couch so we can go to bed.
