It's evident in every smile, every touch, and every spoken word that Tyler and Lara are positively smitten with love and wonder over their son. And that brings an immense amount of joy to my heart to see! Not that I would expect anything less...but still, watching it up close so deeply touches me.
While waiting for the final papers to be signed, I got to hold this precious little grandson of mine as his mom and dad gathered things to leave the hospital. Seemingly a million emotions flooded my heart and soul as I looked into his sweet, adorable, every-changing face and began memorizing it.
Soon it was time for mommy and daddy to put him in the car seat for the first time, and start the journey to his first home.
He looks like he's ready for a nap, and they look like they're ready for all that's ahead of them!
My strong, brave and beautiful daughter-in-law walked out of the hospital on her own, just thirty six hours after birthing her first child. So very proud of her!
And so proud of the two of them for how they're intentionally, sacrificially and happily entering into parenthood and giving of themselves to their son.
The three of them have such a beautiful life ahead of them. I couldn't be more thrilled to see them moving on to this next wonderful phase of their lives.
