Painting Project

This Saturday morning dawned bright and beautiful on Hvar.

Taking my dog for an early walk gave me a chance to breathe in deep and take in the wonder and beauty of what God has created here.

But soon, it was time to get to work!

Our friends, Mel and Amy, came down from Czech to work on house projects for the next few days.

For Amy and I, that meant a painting project: the concrete walls that house the septic system for the house! Someday perhaps we'll do something more permanent to these walls, but for now a coat of paint makes a big difference.

Four coats of paint later and we were feeling pretty happy and successful for accomplishing our task today!

The guys came down to inspect our work (they approved!) and we captured this fun shot as the sun was in its golden glow of the afternoon.

Absolutely loving the refreshment of being in this special place.
