If I could, I would take my daughter, Claire, to Laura Coffee in Ostrava to celebrate today.
She took her last final of the school year at Moody Bible Institute today. That signifies that she has just one more semester until she graduates this coming December.
How is it possible that my youngest is nearly done with college??
It seems like it was just yesterday when she was living here in the Czech Republic, starting školka (that's the name for kindergarten here). And now she's completely on the other end of the spectrum.
"Claire, I am so proud of you for how you have fully leaned into this demanding semester, giving yourself wholeheartedly to all the classes, especially the ones in your major. Even from a distance I can see how much you've grown during these last five months as you've pressed not only into school, but into the Lord as well. I know He's pleased with you even more than I am, and that's saying a lot!!"
With Claire on my heart and mind all day, it was a delightful surprise to stop by the mailbox this afternoon on my way home from a meeting and find this.
A Mother's Day greeting from the very one that I was thinking about and praying for today. That brought the day "full circle"!
"Thank you Claire! I love you too and am glad to be your mom, and in life together!"
Aw, thank you Mom! You're always so good at celebrating the big and little things of life. See you soon!!
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating with you as your precious, wise, beautiful, deep, creative, inspiring, incredible daughter has finished this semester with flying colors. Love you both!
