Having just returned from Israel last night, heading up to Malenovice for our annual Easter service was so meaningful after walking where Jesus walked.
Dave had the honor again of preaching the Easter message, speaking about three different individuals who were with Jesus before and after he was crucified, and their different responses to him. Mary Magdalene: belief; Thomas: doubt; Peter: denial, then forgiveness and restoration. It was a powerful message, calling each of us to faith today in our resurrected Savior.
For the first time in many years, we had the joy of celebrating afterward with our family!
Tyler, Lara, Judah and Asher, and Claire, came over for Easter brunch, and a celebration of Lara's birthday since it fell during the days we were in Israel.
What sweetness to see these faces after a few weeks away!
Our weather hasn't really turned to spring yet, but Judah is ready for the day when Papa takes him out for his first tractor ride! Hopefully it won't be too long from now.
Grateful for Jesus today, whose sacrifice made it possible for us to be in relationship with him!
Great that you could spend Easter with your family. I think Judah looks like a college man already!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That picture of Judah outside just gets me! What a guy!!
