The lilacs, azaleas and rhododendrons are in bloom, making their splash of color all over the neighborhood, and thankfully at our house too, which is where the above photo was taken.
Being the day after conference and needing some catch up time, Claire and I made our way to a favorite place of mine this morning to enjoy breakfast together.
Back at home a few fun visitors stopped by.
Today happens to be KAM, our Czech JV organization's, annual conference day. So Tyler, Lara and the boys stopped by before heading back up to Malenovice where they'd just been for JV spring conference.
I sure didn't mind seeing some of my favorite little people, and being entertained by a new instrument that I thought a certain someone might enjoy!
Oh the delight of a two year old with a harmonica! Didn't take him long to figure out how to get some pretty fun music out of it!
While Asher napped, Lara and Judah enjoyed a bit of a "tea party" while I wrapped up a few last things before heading out.
Can you believe I'm off to travel again??
This afternoon I took the train to Prague, then caught the metro all the way out to the end of the line.
Has anyone else who's ever been here, noticed the designs on the fabric of the metro seats??
That's the Prague castle! |
A friend met me at the station, with an iced coffee in her hand for me! She then thought to ask if I had everything I needed, to which I answered, "No! I forgot my computer charger at home!"
So off we ran to the mall to pick up one so I'm not 'computer-less' over the next days as I travel. (I wouldn't be blogging if I hadn't picked that up!)
This is my new, dear friend, Angie. She and her husband are missionaries in Prague, but we've never met!
But we have SO much in common!
She's lived and served in the Czech Republic, we have many mutual friends, she was born in Denver, her husband served at a church we know well there, her good friend is our JV intern director in the States, we both have two boys and a girl, and best of all, we share a bond of being sisters in Christ!
She picked me up at the metro station and took me to the hotel I'm staying tonight before flying tomorrow. Conversation flew quickly and easily for several hours as our hearts bonded. What joy to meet someone who feels like an old friend! I'm so thankful it worked out for us to see each other this evening.
"Thank you for blessing me in so many ways this evening Angie! I hope our paths cross again soon!"
Oh how I smile as I imagine Abba's heart in seeing two of his daughters connecting and being surprised at all the overlapping "coincidences" (not!) in their stories. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOur meeting was such a joy! Thank you! So timely in every way. Your insight, prayers and wisdom were absolute gifts from the Lord (that I didn't even know I needed until now). Prayers for safety and more divine appointments as you travel today.
ReplyDeleteYou met ANGIE!!!!!! This post made my whole heart smile :) :) Love you both!
