Fall in the Midwest is such a feast for the eyes! After yesterday's micro snow storm it was wonderful to return to sunshine, blue sky and fall colors today.
But an even better feast today came in the shape of a Great Pyrenees, a stoked fire, and the company of dear friends as we spent the day with them, talking, praying and enjoying together the reality and goodness of God.
It honesty felt like a banquet feast, full of all the delicacies the Lord could think of...and we didn't eat one thing while we were together!
I understood a little bit more of what Jesus meant when he said, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work." That's some really nourishing food, being in the center of his will!
So thankful for these stops along the way as we travel, that fill up our hearts and souls, and remind us of how great our God is.
