I've already posted twice today about our travels and friends here in Jerusalem, but had to end with one final post about the day.
I came around the corner of the lobby at our hotel tonight and found Tyler there, working, as he has every night, to finalize his next talk. Tomorrow's will be his last as we are about to finish our Old Testament study tour with a group of single JV missionaries.
It has been one of my greatest joys of this trip, to be taught God's Word by Tyler. He is a gifted teacher, carrying on a beautiful Patty family legacy of knowing and teaching the Word as his dad and grandpa before him have done.
It's also been the sweetest to watch he and Dave co-teach, talking over their lessons each evening beforehand...sometimes in seriousness, but often with laughter as they did tonight!
When Tyler left for college nearly ten years ago, in the fall of 2009, I never ever dreamed that he'd come back to Czech, with his family, and serve in Josiah Venture as an educator. How I love that God put those pieces together.
While the goal of life is not to make your mom happy, but rather honor the Lord, it did happen to work out that while honoring the Lord, Tyler has made his mom very happy!
I give all thanks to the Lord for how He's drawn each of our kids to Himself, and given each of them their unique place from which to serve Him.
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." 3 John 4
Oh how I have THE BIGGEST SMILE ON MY FACE in reading this!!!! Seeing your son and husband stand side by side in keeping the Patty legacy going while preaching God's Word is a mama's prayers and dreams coming true!!!! I'm celebrating with you.....#nogreaterjoy
