If you look at the windows really carefully above you can read the name of it: IF Cafe.
I didn't know anything about it until my friend, Martina, was telling me about it this summer.
She'd never been here either, but had heard about it. So when we realized that we'd both be in Prague on the same day, we made a plan to meet up here for breakfast! (Martina and I serve together on the iTeam for JV out of our home office in Frydlant so it's quite amazing that we're both in Prague on this day!).
While their breakfast was outstanding, what they're really known for are their sweets.

The woman who started this bakery/cafe was on a TV show in Czech similar to Top Chef, and although she didn't win it, she was given strong endorsement for her creativity and artistry and encouraged to open her own cafe. Within six years she has not only opened one cafe, but has four locations throughout Prague!
And what she's famous for are her sweets...which of course we had to sample even though it wasn't long after breakfast. 😉
Her most famous creation is this lemon, which is actually a white chocolate shell, filled with some deliciously creamy filling that is sweet and puckery at the same time! I don't really know how to describe it...except to say that it's like nothing I've ever tasted and is positively delicious!
If you order one, you get a little sticker with a gold marker and can write something on it to put on their huge glass window inside the cafe.
Martina and I are so happy to have sampled something truly unique!
And even more, we're happy to have had such a sweet morning together in Prague!
