But that didn't stop them from preparing an event in its place this week-end!
It was only two weeks ago that the KPM team, who had been working all year long to prepare this year's program, made a huge pivot.
They pulled together people, ideas and resources, from a distance (since they too are on quarantine lockdown) and have created a new event called, "KPM Home" that will be live tonight and tomorrow.
This includes two talks from Dave that were recorded at our "home studio" yesterday and today. π
Do you like the added touch of the blanket over the window? πThe sun was brighter today so we had to deal with it! |
Dave rigged up one of our tripods here at home to record, and all I was supposed to do was push the red button on his phone to start and end his talk. But when the tripod started slowing dipping down, I grabbed it, pro that I am at videography (NOT!), and held on for the last ten minutes of his talk!
This evening at 6 PM, KPM Home went live on YouTube and there was Dave, online from home!
With 436 people watching the live event!
438, if you count Charlie and Papa, watching from the same office where he had recorded the talk!
It was sweet watching Caleb go in a little bit later to be with Dave as he watched the rest of the event.
I was in his office too, listening but not watching since a sweet little Jenna was taking her evening snooze on me!
Which, by the way, Jenna is one month old today! ππππ₯³
The creativity of the KPM team is a gift given to them by the Lord, that they all use so well for His service. I am proud of them, and look forward to seeing the fruit that comes from their online version of KPM Home this year.
What a power-packed post! There are so many HUGE intersections of relationships in every part of what you wrote----all those who watched Dave, you recording Dave, Caleb connecting with Dave, you with Jenna, Charlie with Dave, an on it goes! It's like your lives are almost more full now that you're all under one roof doing life together during this SACRED time! Love you and wish I was quarantined with ya'll....kind of! Ha!
