On Sunday, Katka, who has been living in our apartment over the garage for the past month with David, her husband, sent me a text and asked if I could step outside and take a picture.
The light couldn't have been more beautiful to capture them in these last days before their twins are born.
Dave and I have known Katka for 25 years! She came to Christ in our first youth group when we lived in Havířov, and has been a part of our lives in so many different ways all these years: friend, disciple, babysitter, JV teammate, and for now, neighbor, as she and her husband have been living here while they've waited for the twins to be born (they serve with JV in Latvia but came to Czech to have the babies).
We went over to the apartment this evening to pray over them and for the twins, because tomorrow, she'll head to the hospital to be induced as the doctors don't want her to go any longer!
The babies made it to 38 weeks and 3 days, as of today - what a miracle!
And what joy it will be to welcome them home, with baby boy and baby girl, in not too long!
I wrote out a prayer from Psalm 145 and prayed it over them and their children this evening, praying among other things this line from verse 3.
May they {baby boy and girl} say with their parents, “Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.”
Looking forward to the Lord's greatness being proclaimed by the coming of these two precious ones!
