Savoring the Gift

Caleb, Haley, Charlie and Jenna packed up all of their things from the apartment in Frydlant where they've been living these past few weeks, and moved back to our house today!

This is in anticipation of them being able to return to Albania, their home and where they serve with Josiah Venture, our mission organization. They haven't been home since December 23rd! While they expected to be here until a few weeks after Jenna's birth on February 27th, they didn't expect to be here this long due to pandemic across the world.

For sure it's been a gift from the Lord to be here with the rest of our family, but they are of course anxious to get back to their home, their friends, and the ministry that God has called them to in the city of Vlore.

I loved hearing the giggles of Charlie tonight after his bath, and the coos of Jenna as she is getting sleepy. It will be sweet to have them here for a few more days, savoring the gift of living close a little while longer. And when it's time for them to go, I'll savor God's gift all the more of having had these months together.
